Welcome to the official presentation of the PARATUS Project Final Results!
๐ After four years of research and cross-sector collaboration, we are excited to share our tools and methodologies designed to enhance systemic disaster risk preparedness & management and climate adaptation. In this video, we explore our key project outcomes:
๐น Serious Games: Interactive, scenario-building simulations to help policymakers and first responders navigate complex, multi-hazard events.
๐น Impact Chains & Forensic Analysis: Conceptual models co-developed with stakeholders to understand how climate hazards generate cascading, systemic impacts.
๐น RiskChanges: An open-source, web-based spatial decision-support system for dynamic, local-level multi-hazard risk assessment.
๐น FastFlood: A rapid, web-based flood simulation platform that makes estimating flood extents and water depth accessible without specialist software.
๐น Disaster Risk Stakeholder Hub: A shared repository and collaborative network hosted on CMINE, connecting over 30 projects to advance societal resilience.
๐น Stress Testing: Comprehensive guidelines to assess a system’s vulnerability to multiple climatic and non-climatic threats. These open-source innovations empower local authorities, researchers, first responders, and communities to make evidence-based decisions in the face of compounding risks.
