On 16 October 2023, a PARATUS member from the University of Twente, Irene Manzella, will participate in the 14th Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRiM) Society Cafè.
This year’s theme is Disaster Resource Centres/Networks at various levels. The event will focus on the Disaster Research centres that operate at various levels and how they integrate existing scientific multi-disciplinary knowledge and contribute to policies at the international level. The 14th IDRiM Cafe talk aims to discuss how the Disaster Resource Networks, which operate at various levels, can cooperate and co-develop innovative solutions together.
Irene Manzella is Head of the Centre for Disaster Resilience and Associate Professor at the Faculty of GeoInformation Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
The IDRiM Society, which was launched in October 2009 at the 9th IIASA-DPRI Conference on Integrated Disaster Risk Management in Kyoto, Japan, aims to promote knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary research, and development of integrated disaster risk management contributing to the implementation of success models for efficient and equitable disaster risk management options.
