On 20-21 July 2023, our partner Seda Kundak from the Istanbul Technical University will give a special presentation of the PARATUS project for the Earthquake Scientific Committee of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, partner of PARATUS.

On 15 February 2023, Seda Kundak already had the chance to present in front of the Committee right after the devastating earthquakes of 6 February 2023 were we could see a clear illustration of the complex direct and indirect cross-border impacts caused by compounding events.

These are important occasions for the project to present the perspective that could enable to better understand impact chain of disasters and to develop strategies accordingly.
