The PARATUS project is thrilled to invite you to the “Multi-hazard DRR Academy for young researchers and practitioners: From Methodological Diversity to Collaborative Research”, that will be held in Barcelona from 23 to 26 October 2024.

The Academy, organised together with The HuT Nexus Project, the MYRIAD-EU project and the DIRECTED project, aims to provide an inter- and transdisciplinary platform bringing together 40 Early-Career Researchers and Practitioners (ECRs and ECPs) who are currently advancing the field of multi-hazard DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction).

By engaging in various interactive formats, participants will get hands-on experience with a diverse array of innovative approaches, learn from each other, identify synergies and gaps in current approaches in multi-hazard DRR research and practice, and have the opportunity to form strong relations within the community. The participants will actively shape this Academy (bottom-up approach) by leading thematic breakout workshops.

Application & Important Information

The deadline for application is 13 August 2024. Visit the website to learn more and apply.

In the meantime, have a look at the PARATUS Interview Series, available on our YouTube channel, where the Young Researchers of PARATUS introduce themselves and their innovative work inside and outside the project. The interviews were carried out during the summer school on multi-hazard risk management for young researchers organised by PARATUS and the Vienna International School of Earth and Space Science (VISESS) last year.
