D3.3 Adaptation Options
This deliverable describes a selection of three Adaptation/Mitigation options for the four application case study areas of PARATUS: Istanbul, Bucharest, the Brenner Pass (Alps), and the Caribbean. The adaptation options are linked to the impact chains (WP1) and respond to current and future scenarios (WP2). These adaptation options were co-produced with the stakeholders in the region, supported by a series of learning lab processes in each of the four application case study areas. The options are exploring different timeframes, ranging from short-term (1-5 years) to longer-term (up to 30 years). The Adaptation Options also contributed to the development of a serious game, using a range of hazards and adaptation options in an interactive process. This game is inspired by the PARATUS impact chains (WP1) and has been tested in various national and international events (see also the upcoming deliverable, Del 3.4). The Adaptation Options also inspired the development of the Alternative Selection tool, which will be part of the RiskChanges software tool for dynamic multi-hazard risk assessment, which will be presented later in WP4.
